What do you enjoy most about horses:
I really enjoy everything about horses
especially the fact the every horse is
different!  Each one has something to
teach whether it be about improving your
equitation, their different personalities
and temperaments,  just learning how to
ride each horse uniquely!

Do you enjoy any other hobbies
outside of horses:
I play field hockey in the fall and enjoy
doing anything outside in the fresh air!  I
have also recently started fox hunting
when my schedule allows it.

Where do you go to school: I go to Sanford and I'm in the graduating class of 2011!!!
Where do you plan to go to college: I'm hoping to end up somewhere close by with a
large science and agricultural department.

When did you start riding:
I live on a horse farm and have been riding as long as I can remember, but my mom
was still galloping horses at Fair Hill Training Center 2 weeks before she had me so you
could say before I was ever even born.

What are your first memories of riding:
My first and most memorable
experience of riding as a child was on
my first pony, Candy, when I was 6.  I
thought I was strong and experienced
enough to handle my little herd-bound
pony and wanted to "ride alone" without
anyone leading her.  Next thing I know,
I'm holding on for my life as she
cantered up the hill towards her
paddock mates and I ended up sliding
straight off her butt!  My mom thought
it was hysterical and had no interest in
doing anything but laughing!

Tell us about your first horse/pony:
The little paint pony Candy (the one who took off with
me) but was definitely a great first pony who
prepared me for bigger horses and ponies and
showed me how affectionate and loving horses can be
.

What are your 2010 goals:
I am planning on showing once again after my 3 year
break from it, but move from hunters into jumpers and
really transform how I ride. My interest has resurfaced
and I hope to focus on moving beyond my comfort zone at
home as well as in the show ring this year.

What are your long term goals?
My long-term goals involve maintaining and moving
forward with my riding while attending school and
continue to ride as long as I am physically able !!!
