| Mr. Ken & Mrs. Debbie |
| Mrs. Debbie (Ken to follow) DOB: 3/2/1945 Hometown: Philadelphia Where did you do to school: Germantown High School 1963 and then onto Temple University When did you start riding: Started riding 2001 (taking lessons) What are your first memories of riding or with horses: I was three years old and got three pony rides for a quarter. The pony cantered over the cobble stone streets of South Philadelphia and I was thrilled. Tell us about your first horse(s): Horse #1 and horse #2 were internet purchases doomed to failure. I was seriously hurt on one of them but continued to look for a horse that would make my dreams come true. The love of my life came my way in 2002. His name is Bo and he is a registered Spotted Saddle Horse. Bo changed my life from the day I met him. What do you enjoy most about horses: Horses carry the burden of our bodies without a complaint. They try to do our bidding to the best of their ability with no reward in mind. They can sense our needs without a prompt and take care of us. They mirror our energy and return our affection in kind. What words of wisdom would you share to others: I would say to have your dream, live your dream and never give up. Think it, feel it, and make it happen. What are your 2010 goals: I've had some physical limitations in the last few years, so I'm a puzzler and reader for now. This year I expect to be back in the saddle with my boys. I hope we can all get in good shape and tackle the trails of Fair Hill and maybe even hunt. For the long haul I'd just like to live in peace and good health. I will share whatever resources the good Lord has blessed me with and try to make in a difference in other people's lives. |
