Do you enjoy any other hobbies outside
of horses?:

"Um… Not really. I fox hunt! I hunt with
the River Hill Foxhounds and whip-in to
MFH James C. Paxson every
Monday/Wednesday/Friday/Saturday. I
started fox hunting when I was 12 years
old with the Lewisville Hunt and I’ve
never looked back since. (www.rhfpa.
com) I also outride at point-to-point races
in the spring and fall… you can see me at
Plumstead, Brandywine, Winterthur,
Willowdale Steeplechase, Radnor, Fair
Hill, and Pennsylvania Hunt Cup!"

How long have you been riding?:
"23 years!"

What is your first memory from riding?:

"All of them?! That’s pretty hard since I’ve
always had horses right outside my window…
but I would have to say waking up and having to
get dressed for horse shows really early in the
morning and then eating donuts from Mr.
Stump. A lot of memories from riding my ponies
and doing things I wasn’t allowed to do yet!"

Up to this point what are the highlights from
your riding career?:

" I won a lot or ribbons and champions with
all of my ponies and horses Captain
Crunch-Chocolate Kiss-Casey-Daisy-
Millennium Bug-Reynard-Joey-Cisco so its
hard to pin point anything because I have
been so fortunate to have really great
ponies and horses to ride and compete on.
I would have to say that Chocolate Kiss
was the best all time pony and I credit her to
making me the rider I am today. I even won
Best Child Rider on her a few times! She
instilled so much confidence in me and I
think I still ride with her when I’m out fox
hunting or in the show ring. She really was
the best!"

What do you enjoy most with horses?:

"The every day connection. I love walking
out the door in the morning and seeing
them look for me and neigh. I just love and
appreciate everything they give you!"

What words of wisdom would you
give to others?:

"Don’t let horses fool you. They
know exactly what’s going on and
they will let you know exactly how
they feel about it.
Oh! And one of my favorite quotes:
